flew to Thessaloniki to present for best cinematography at the awards, morning after at 7am I had to go to the hospital because I had hurt my chest during filming a few days before and the pain wasn’t going away. turned out to be internal bruising. from there i went straight to the airport to catch a flight straight to day 1 of rehearsals for Marius von Mayenburg’s Eldorado, directed by Constantine Giannaris. then i went home and fell asleep on the floor somewhere. Morning after, I did my last day of shooting for Homeland.
ticking off a few things in an ever-increasing list of things that must be done.
met Lena Divani and she rocks so much.
and so I died.
as I have in 8 of my films and plays before.
but it has to be my favorite death so far.
the trashed trailer where it took place, the litters of blood soaking my clothes, hair and balls. It was a self inflicted knife wound, this time. The following dawn, we filmed at the beach, where I’m being dragged away in the sand. And in the -5°C water. My bones, skin and insides are bruised, scratched and sore but a good time was had by all.
The hotel rooms were the most surreal place I’ve ever slept in, it looked [and felt] like an asylum.
One more scene and I’m done.
‘Homeland’ was delectable to make.
more human hair experiments, with a rapid intention to understand it all.
what for? who knows. A reason might eventually manifest itself.
The 48hourfilm that I did, “Blue Tape” won Best Director, Best Editing and um.. I won for.. Best Make-Up for doing my own make up in it. Embarrassing. Good times.
Shooting a 48hourfilm with Argy was such great fun. My body hurts today but it feels good. Title of the film: “Blue Tape”.
Towards the end of the long shooting day, covered in movie blood, this pic got taken, saw it today and remembered Sharon; similar velvet couch, similar position, similar um.. stains.
