“Rich hair that one can style” (“Soyeuse chevelure que l’on peut coiffer”)
“Wig that can be styled” (avec perruque pouvant etre coiffée”)
The term “perruque” (wig) was considered perjorative, or rather, something of vulgarity and suspicious usage, for theater actresses and vain old ladies with receded hairlines or greying hair. This vulgar connotation was softened by the fact she was a doll.
