Rehearsals for Crazy Eyes.
Never done a play with a “real apartment” set before. it’s cozy.
I keep getting offered dumb films.
A.S. is now working as a carpenter. Smart move.
Let this play be the last that i’ll do. I hope I never get offered another acting job again. I don’t love this job.

“The vocal stylings of their rare Christmas CD sounds as though recorded in a storage shed armed with 3,112 cigarettes and a ukelele. A search for harmony proves elusive through every track, from ‘Christmas Polka’ to a devastating ‘Ave Maria.’ They often sound inebriated or in the midst of an aneurysm. Don’t start scouting for a concert tour, though. Recorded several years ago, a couple of the Triplets have reportedly died. From the cover artwork, it appeared they already had.” |
The Hina Matsuri or Doll Festival or Girl’s Festival is celebrated on March 3 in Japan. On this day, families with girls wish their daughters a successful and happy life. Dolls are displayed in the house together with peach blossoms. The doll festival has its origin in a Chinese custom in which bad fortune is transferred to dolls and then removed by abandoning the doll on a river.
Finished The Secret of The Lonely Doll.
Quit the movie, the script changes made me barf.
Such a fine sunny day.
“The Shinto religion has a belief that all things possess a spirit, including dolls, so they are made with “side-glancing” eyes, so they can’t look you in the eye and they have a ceremony to destroy unwanted dolls so the spirit cannot come back to do vengeance on the former doll owner. Today they have a Ningyo Kanshasai (Festival to Thank Dolls) to destroy unwanted dolls at the Meiji Shrine in Harajuku, Japan that takes place on the Sunday closest to October 15th and is held annually.
People all over Japan send dolls here when the dolls have outlived their usefulness as children’s toys. The dolls are displayed around the courtyard, and a ceremony is held to bless them for their work. The dolls are then disposed of. This is a good festival for the casual visitor: unique, yet not too many people.”
