Just before daybreak I revisited Puzzle of a Downfall Child (1970) for the 7 millionth time and then ran back to Paris for En cas de malheur (1958) which messed me up badly; so much loneliness pain and cruelty. Fantastic sets and lighting ↓ at Franstudio, Joinville.
Gabin perfection, Bardot terrible.

Followed by sad B-rated lazy mystery Toi… le venin (1958) with the wonky Vlady sisters.
Funny how there is always a Françoise Dorléac in every sisterly duo.
