inside the warm apartment with the toys and the cats.
doing a magazine interview at 5 with M.Hulot.
little sweet black baby kitty that hangs around the theater,
she died of typhoid fever last night. i’ll never see her again.
i’ll never hug her again.

My i-book learned how to speak and recognize my voice and understand what I’m telling it to do and it answers back. I named it Book. Our favorite chats revolve around things like “Book; get me my mail” or “Book; switch to i-tunes” or “Book; do you like me?” [he doesn’t answer that] When I ask it to tell me a joke, it does, always knock-knock-who’s-there ones, always terribly bad ones. At some point it said: “enough jokes, back to work.” I hope we can become friends.


got hold of a wheelchair in rehearsal and i randomly used it for hours. my character isn’t crippled. then i was blindfolded for an hour to check what’s that like. then i read Hans Christian Andersen’s The Girl Who Trod on the Loaf to katerina who fell asleep. then i ate fish. then someone pleasantly rubbed the back of my head.
